White Non-Scratch Scrub Pad
This pad is designed for delicate cleaning tasks where surface protection is essential. It contains no industrial abrasive materials, making it suitable for use on glass and other sensitive finishes without leaving marks or scratches.

Its increased thickness (approximately 22–24mm) gives it a more robust build compared to many standard scrub pads on the market, which are often around 10–12mm. This added depth helps improve durability and extends overall service life, making it a reliable option for regular professional use.

Walnut Fibre Scrub Pad
The walnut version is engineered for more demanding cleaning applications. It incorporates finely crushed walnut shell particles blended with durable fibres, creating a natural abrasive effect that increases cleaning power while remaining gentler than traditional industrial abrasives.

This makes it effective for removing tougher contamination such as ingrained dirt or organic build-up, while still being designed to minimise the risk of surface damage when used correctly.

Is the walnut scrub pad suitable for everyday window cleaning?
Yes, it can be used for routine glass cleaning, particularly when a stronger scrubbing action is needed. However, it is best suited for more stubborn dirt rather than light maintenance cleaning.

Can either pad damage glass surfaces?
Both pads are designed with scratch-resistant use in mind when used appropriately. That said, we always recommend testing a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on specialist or coated glass types.

What surfaces can the walnut pad be used on?
It is commonly used on glass, ceramic, porcelain, stainless steel, copper, and painted surfaces. As with any abrasive-style product, compatibility should be checked for delicate or coated materials before full use.

Are these pads safe for modern coated or energy-efficient windows?
Care should be taken with low-emissivity (Low-E) or speciality-coated glass. These coatings are often sensitive, and we recommend following the manufacturer’s guidance before using any abrasive cleaning tools.

Can the pads be used on tinted windows?
We do not recommend using abrasive pads on tinted glass, as these surfaces are more prone to marking or damage.

Can these pads be used on tempered glass?
Yes

Can this be used for solar panel cleaning?
We would recommend checking with the solar panel manufacturer before using any abrasive cleaning product.  While a walnut pad may be suitable for some solar panels, other manufacturers may advise against its use. Following their guidelines is the best way to ensure safe and effective cleaning.

How should I clean and maintain the pads after use?
Thorough rinsing after each job is strongly advised. This helps remove trapped debris and reduces the risk of transferring particles that could affect performance or safety on the next use.

Is the walnut pad reusable over multiple jobs?
Yes, reuse is possible depending on the level of contamination it has been exposed to. If heavily soiled, it should be cleaned carefully before reuse to avoid carrying abrasive debris.

Which pad is more aggressive – white or walnut?

Is this allergy-friendly as I am allergic to the nut parts of walnuts?
The pad is constructed of polyester fibres and crushed walnut shells with water-based resins. If there is concern over an allergy, we would recommend  exercising caution and utilise instead the white scrub pad.
